PlayStation Vita Update 2.10 Arrives Today, Launches in Europe Tomorrow


Sony have released update 2.10 for the PlayStation Vita, adding a wealth of user enhancements to the handheld system. The full list of changes includes:

  • Users can now create folders on their home screen, each storing 10 icons. The home screen can support 100 total icons.
  • The currently-inserted game card is now visible on the home screen’s info bar.
  • Added the ability to save the home screen’s layout to the inserted memory card.
  • The Vita’s web browser now supports video playback (requires a memory card).
  • Multiple e-mail enhancements, including the ability to read HTML e-mails, add multiple e-mail addresses to your contacts at once, and search through your messages.
  • PlayStation Plus members can choose to have PlayStation Mobile titles automatically update, as well as upload game save data to online storage over 3G.
  • New option to automatically mute the PS Vita and pause music playback when headphones are unplugged.

The 2.10 update is going live today, April 9, 2013 in North America; European owners will be able to get the update tomorrow. Check out the feature trailer below!
