Currently, it is rumored that 2K’s Czech Republic studio are requesting applicants to work on a “Highly confidential, unannounced, project”, according to an inside source. The company’s last big release was back in 2010 with Mafia II. There are rumors stating that a third Mafia game (aka Mafia III) will launch on two next generation consoles so far. The game is reportedly being developed as a launch title for these two unnamed consoles, which are obviously Sony and Microsoft’s next machines.
The majority feels that the next Xbox and PlayStation 4 will be on store shelves for the later half of 2013. If this is indeed the case, it is highly possible that Mafia 3 will be running on these platforms with technology we have never seen before.
