The Hitman: Absolution “Storytelling” trailer was released today, which highlights the thrilling in-depth plot that awaits 47. The developers of Absolution, IO Interactive, discussed the level of work they had put into the in-game cut scenes. They’ve definitely showcased their dedication and love for the project by hiring an “A” list voice/motion cast (Powers Boothe, Shannyn Sossamon, and Vivica Fox just to name a few). Each actor was required to wearing skin-tight motion-capture suit to replicate their motions and actions naturally. The studio’s animation team added cinematic camera angles and close up shots to create true “hollywood cinema” cutscenes.
Frederik Budolph-Larsen, an animator at IO Interactive, says, “This is just a natural evolution in games — to lean on what we’ve learned from cinema.” Here at Gamers Xtreme, the team cannot wait to check out the Hitman demo at New York Comic Con this weekend! Hitman: Absolution launches on November 20th on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. For more news on this or any other topic be sure to keep it locked onto Gamers Xtreme, and as always, “Game On!”
