Grand Theft Auto 3 To Finally Arrive Onto PSN This Week

Finally confirmed, it appears Grand Theft Auto 3 is finally coming to the PlayStation Network. When Sony first started releasing Ps2 classics, GTA3 was rumored to be on the top ten list for immediate release. Unfortunately, it never went through. Fast forward a few years and the game was scheduled to release seven months ago but again, was delayed due to a licensing issue with the game’s soundtrack. Finally scheduled to come to PSN tomorrow, September 25, GTA3 will be available for download at the regular Ps2 classic price of $9.99. The official PS Blog wrote a brief synopsis of the game for those who possibly were living on “MARS” or some other celestial galaxy when the cult classic debuted nearly eleven years ago.

“From the days of the PlayStation 2, this downloadable game allows you to play the classic original on compatible PlayStation game systems. Mob bosses need favors, crooked cops need help, the street gangs want you dead; so to compensate you’ll have to rob, steal, and kill in order to stay alive,”

“Developed by DMA Design, GTA 3 is the first installment of the series to utilize a fully three-dimensional living city with open environments and non-linear gameplay. Additional features include a cast of hundreds of different characters, more than 50 types of vehicles, three hours of professionally recorded music, and a huge array of deadly street weapons.”

For more news on this or anything else be sure to keep it locked onto Gamers Xtreme, and as always, “Game On!”
