Those who pre-ordered Borderlands 2 may have been surprised to find a special “Golden Key” in their inventory. These rare items can be used to unlock a special treasure chest in the town of Sanctuary to acquire epic items leveled to your character. To those of you who may have burned your key early, or just want another roll at some phat loot, good news; Gearbox is giving out more codes to redeem for extra Golden Keys!
Just keep an eye on Randy Pitchford’s Twitter feed; the Gearbox President promises to be hosting additional chances to win over the next few days. Players can also earn additional keys by redeeming codes acquired from the game’s Shift system, available from the Extras menu.
And to you PC players who’d call themselves 1337 h@x0rz, there’s another way…but you’ll just have to research it yourself to find out.
