Quite possibly the biggest Legend of Zelda game ever to be developed will be releasing on the Wii U. According to sources inside Nintendo, the company is going all out in terms of money and resources for their most ambitious project to date. Nintendo is supposedly sticking with the style seen in Skyward Sword. Other details revealed by sources state that Nintendo will be fully utilizing the Wii U’s power and tech. The company has hired the largest team in Nintendo history. The leaks claim that there have been literally hundreds of people working on the new Zelda game since 2010.
The Wii U will offer new tech and a new engine, combined with an incredible workforce and endless funds; Nintendo is attempting to create a Zelda game unlike anything ever imagined before. Zelda for the Wii U will have the most advanced graphical features Nintendo has ever made. And of course, the Wii U gamepad will be an integral part in playing Zelda for the Wii U. Initially, Nintendo was planning on releasing the title in the fourth quarter of 2013. However, now sources are stating this date is unachievable. The new date is rumored to be Winter of 2014, though this also can change at any time.
It does seem odd that Nintendo would wait two years after the launch of the Wii U to release such a blockbuster triple-A title. However, if the rumors are any indication of the game, then fans will be more than happy with the final result. For more information on this or any other title, make sure to keep it locked onto Gamers Xtreme and as always, “Game On!”
