Longtime Resident Evil fans should be hyped about the latest news stated by Capcom earlier today. An all-new Resident Evil 6 demo will be released to the public for download on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 starting September 18th. Capcom has stated that the demo will be entirely different from the one packaged within Xbox 360′s (and very shortly, PS3′s) “Dragon’s Dogma”.
Players will get to demo brief sections of levels from three of the game’s single-player based campaigns. Leon S. Kennedy’s portion will take players to the zombie-saturated grounds of Ivy University, while Sherry and Jake battle mutants in China. Chris Redfield and his BSAA squad will battle BOWs in Eastern Europe. As of now, these were the only descriptions offered up by Capcom at the moment. The synopsis of the new demo sounds similar to the original demo but we will have to wait and see.
On a side note, PlayStation 3 owners of Dragon’s Dogma will finally be able to download their version of the original demo starting tomorrow, September 5th. Until then keep it locked onto Gamers Xtreme, and as always, “Game On!”
